The project will consist of reconstructing the existing roadway, which will cut the crest of hill down approximately 15 feet. Work will be conducted between Peter Creek Drive and Ella Terrace. Access to residences will be maintained at all times, and all driveways will remain outside of the limits of the project.

The reconstruction is being completed to improve the sight distance and reduce the likelihood of drivers attempting reckless driving behaviors.

CURRENT WORK-PHASE 1
Work for phase 1 will include tree removal only.

Tree work is scheduled Monday through Friday, with a daily road closure from approximately 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday work is not anticipated. This daytime closure will minimize the impact on commuters and avoid disruption to Rockford High School families during school arrival and dismissal.

PHASE 2

Upon completion, the road will be re-opened. Phase 2 is planned for summer of 2025.
